The HighwaterLine is a 32 mile chalk line, with the intention of evoking conversation with the general public and educating people about the issues of flooding and rising sea levels. This book is my interpretation of the line, its connection to the land and my personal journey along it. It emphasizes the impact and lasting effect flooding can cause. Despite flood defences being present, water can devastate homes built on flood plains, underlining the naturalness and power water beholds. With the feeling of being submerged underwater, my images carry on this conversation providing a different visual understanding of the purpose the line holds.
